PlantWare are experts in building 3D models through a BIM platform. Examples of the advantages of BIM are listed here:

• Space Management: Improving coordination between involved architects and engineers for all disciplines: Structural, Electrical, HVAC, Instrumentation, Plumbing etc.

• Data Quality: Checking the completeness of drawings before starting prefabrication and even construction work eliminating the subsequent “Request for Information” (RFI), “Request for Changes” (RFC) and related delays.

• Cable Routing: Using the 3D models and databases as core engine for cable routing throughout the building or plant is enabled - and is a very practical example of utilizing BIM. Detailed cable projects with construction work based on pre-cut cables and detail routing instructions will normally reduce the construction cost by 25%.

• Database Information: Accurate material list as “Bill of Quantity” (BoQ) or "Material Take Out” (MTO) improving the purchase process enables pre-fabrication and leads to less waste during the whole process. Furthermore, the BIM engineering databases can link to software like VISMA, SAP or similar enabling transfer of data directly to e.g. purchase department, planning department etc.
  
• Construction Scheduling: Detailed construction planning with detail sequencing of the different erection phases will lead to better planning of the work.

PlantWare perform project visualization both virtual and physically.

Virtual Visualization
PlantWare performs models for walk-troughs – either interactive or video based, presentations etc. The model, which the visualization is based, is intelligent, and furthermore, we produce Material Take Out (MTO) lists etc. for budget calculations.

Physically Visualization
We have combined our plant design tools together with rapid prototyping technologies from de mechanical design businesses. This enabling us to produce a physically model automatic based on the geometry stored in the 3D model.

PlantWare supplies as-built solutions based on "stereo photography". Through photos of existing plants the information is semi-automated converted into 3D PDMS. This 3D model can be transform to e.g. a

• 3D AutoPlant (dwg) model
• 3D MicroStation (dwn) model

As-built documentation based on “stereo photography” provides a very competitive work-around compared to manually measurement or laser scanning.

Furthermore, PlantWare supplies as-built solutions based on LEICA laser scanning based on the newest versions of the LEICA lasers with up to 50.000 points per second. The pointcloud can either be processed to a
