Design Validation Tool for checking piping against design rules in e.g. a pharmaceutical plant:

• Dead Leg
• Fall
• Elbo/Bend radius

Validation detalis:

- Dead Leg is checked as against x times the outer diameter of the main branch.
- Fall/slope is checked for any slope specified. A minimum distance in x times the nominal diameter can be set to avoid irrelevant error messages. If drainage angle for butterfly valve is specified in a UDA, the orientation of valves will be checked as well
- Elbo/Bend radius is checked against n x times the nominal diameter

Furthermore, the Design Validation Tool check common basis for PDMS errors:

• Nozzle Connections: Size and position of pipe head/tail and Nozzle

The Design Validation tool add pipes with errors in read and errorless pipes in green in the graphical window. An error report in HTML is created as well.
